Dr. Rabinowitz is a graduate of SUNY-Downstate Medical School. She did post graduate training at Beth Israel Hospital in New York. Training in Traditional Chinese Medicine was acquired by apprenticeship, including working six years at the world-renowned acupuncture facility at Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx. At Lincoln, she was one of the founding members of the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. In 1986 she founded Turning Point Acupuncture, a medical practice in New York City devoted to the integration of Western and Eastern medicine. Early in the epidemic, Dr. Rabinowitz did pioneering work using Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of HIV/AIDS.

Credentials include:
License to practice Medicine and Surgery in New York (and is now retired from the practice of Medicine in Colorado), Certification to practice Acupuncture in New York and license to practice Acupuncture in Colorado, and she has NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) diplomate certification since 1985.
In 2018 she became a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher (CIYT) at the Introductory Levels One and Two.
